While Valentine’s Day is when the world celebrates those who are married or coupled, singles need to be considered as well.

The television show Living Single is a classic from the ’90s and I decided that our E’MAGINE Events & Co team should design a styled shoot around this classic show and still celebrate living single. We set the theme for a singles party where each person can celebrate being single and enjoy life as it is at the moment.

I wanted to capture what the 90s was all about! The bright pops of colors and accents of metallic gold and especially the art.

We captured as many details as we could, even down to the trolls that Synclaire loved and the on again off again love affair between Max and Kyle.

The tone for this fun 90’s themed party was set with a stunning black invitation suite. The modern mix of fonts, splashes of color and gold accents set the stage for things to come. Even the RSVP options of Woo Woo Woo or Mad Regrets told guests what they would be missing.

The tablescape was designed with luxurious high back upholstered chairs in a rainbow of colors. Neutral linen with a subtle pattern and a little gold shimmer allowed the floral creations and place settings to be the stars of the show.

Tall contemporary floral risers created height for dramatic bursts of colorful overhead arrangements in bright fuchsia, lavender, and bright orange. The selection of cymbidium orchids, extra-long calla lilies and unique varieties of roses coupled with large monstera leaves painted gold added lux.

The place settings of white charger plates with a narrow gold rim, a dinner plate with a thick shimmering gold band and gold flatware popped against modern glassware and brilliantly colored napkins.

Another favorite detail was the thick clear acrylic place cards; the script font and splash of color personalized them for each guest.

Nothing brings friends together like a Legendary Flavor Bar; this modern metallic piece with a huge asymmetric floral creation was filled with sweet treats. A custom cake with rainbow sprinkles and a collection of lollipops, chocolate covered fruit, delicious donuts, gourmet popcorn, and custom cookies were the hit of the party!
